How long has Briggins been around?

Founded in Melbourne in 2006. Since then, we have made and delivered over 50,000 suits, making us one of Melbourne’s most experienced custom suit companies.

I can’t make it to your Showroom, what should I do?

We understand that not all of our clients are able to come into our Showroom in Nunawading. So, we are able to travel around Melbourne with our travelling tailor service. This does mean, however, that our precision 3D scanning technology is not able to be used. To read more about our fit process, please click here.

How is my custom suit made?

Following a detailed fitting process at our Nunawading Showroom, Briggins Clothiers makes your one-of-a-kind suit in partnership with a specialist workshop in Shanghai, China. Up to 95% of our garments and accessories are handmade in the same workshop to ensure quality and consistency.

Our custom suits and shirts are all finished in our master tailoring room, here in Nunawading. This process ensures high quality garments, a perfect fit and quick turnaround, whilst representing excellent value for our clients.

What does ‘custom’ mean?

Custom, or tailored suits and shirts are made to your unique measurements and design. This means that you can select the fabric, and style and even finer details such as buttons and stitching. Most importantly, a custom suit is one-of-a-kind, so it is as unique as you are.

What are Briggins suits made from?

Briggins suits are made from 100% Australian wool and quality blend fabrics. Using only the finest quality fabrics available, natural Australian wool will be warm in winter, but breathable and cool in summer. Wool is also easy to care for and incredibly soft and luxurious.

How do you ensure a perfect fit?

In 2019, we became industry leaders, using technology to guarantee a perfectly fitting suit, designed just for you. Our blend of modern technology and traditional expert tailoring provides exceptional quality, fit and consistency every time. During a brief visit to our Nunawading Showroom, we will take a 3D body scan in a matter of minutes.

How long does it take to design and make a custom suit?

From your initial consultation through to completion, it takes 4 weeks to design, make and fit a custom suit.

How does a custom suit making process work?

How should I care for my suit?

Congratulations on buying a one-of-a-kind Briggins suit. Here are some tips for keeping your garment in great condition so that it lasts wear-after-wear. We recommend that you have your suit professionally cleaned once a year, professionally pressed once a month, and streamed (in your bathroom) once a week. To avoid unnecessary damage and wear, avoid driving in your suit jacket, and do not keep keys, phones or wallets in your suit pant pockets.

What should I do if I damage my garments?

We know that sometimes accidents happen, so you may wish to have repairs made to your custom suit from time-to-time. Our in-house tailors are available to do repairs by consultation. Please call +61 3 8821 4168 or email info@briggins.com.au for further information and assistance with repairs.

Can I book a corporate office consultation?

Briggins is proud to have worked with businesses across Melbourne to dress team members professionally and stylishly. Businesses that come into our Showroom in Nunawading receive our exceptional service and benefit from our precise 3D scan measuring technology, all whilst drinking a beer and playing some table tennis.

We understand that not all of our clients are able to come into our Showroom in Nunawading. So, we are able to travel around Melbourne with our travelling tailor service to measure and design with your whole team, from the convenience of your office.
